Over the years Duck Down Records has been known exclusively for The Boot Camp Clik. Artists like Black Moon, The Coco Brovaz and Heltah Skeltah have been staples on the label. Duck Down has recently chosen to expand their raster by signing acts like Skyzoo and Ruste juxx. The Crown Heights resident Ruste Juxx is known for his underground hit "Vic Flair", which sampled from the popular Scooby Doo cartoon. Since then he has done collaborations with Boot Camp artists Sean Price and was featured on The Boot Camp compilation album "Casualties Of War". He has toured with Sean Price, Ghostface and Jedi Mind Tricks.
The hard rhyming, wisecracking Ruste Juxx is back with a new album called V.I.C. (Victorious Impervious Champions). He has joined with Boston producer The Arcitype and has turned out a full length 15 song project. The Arcitype has managed to do sample free production that still remains raw to the street. Features include The Genius, Termanology, Copywrite, Guilty Simpson, Planet Asia and Punchline to name only a few. V.I.C. is on Duck Down/ AR Classic.
