Pete Rock - #80BlocksFromTiffanysPt2 Drops tommorow

By Ralo
Camp Lo is best known for their 1997 album "Uptown Saturday Night", which was released on Profile Records. It spawned their Billboard charting hit, "Luchini" also known as "This Is It". It featured a sample from Dynasty called "Adventures In The Land Of Music". This punchy horn sample was backed by the kind of deep kicks and hard snares Camp Lo is now known for. This made for a timeless classic from the Bronx natives.

Group members, Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede have mastered an abstract style that is all their own. Lyrically their words gallop over tracks, with flows only Camp Lo could invent. Their unique production and carefully crafted lyrics set them apart from the rest of the fray.

They returned in 2002 with their sophomore album "Let's Do It Again", which was exceptional, but it was not  met with the same fanfare as their first album. It was a very slept on album with hot joints like "Gothca", "Glow" and "Black Connect ll", which all had the Camp Lo stamp of quality.

They have since done a handful of albums and mixtapes, not the least of which is "80 Blocks From Tiffanys", with super Producer Pete Rock in 2011.

Now, Camp Lo has collaborated with Pete Rock again to do a sequel- "80 Blocks From Tiffanys Pt2." The new "Tiffanys includes guest vocal appearances from Talib Kweli, Ab-Soul and Mac Miller. This latest mixtape is already considered on of the best Hip-Hop endeavours of the year.
